God

The true glory and will of God are impossible for the human mind to comprehend (Isa. 55:8-9; Rom. 11:33-34); all that we know is what He has chosen to reveal through His Word. He is omnipotent (Job 42:2; 1 Tim. 6:15; Rev. 19:6), omniscient (Ps. 139:1-4; Job 42:2), and omnipresent (Ps. 139:7-10). He is eternal, (Duet. 33:27; I Tim. 1:17), has created all things for His will and purpose (John 1:3), and is unchanging (Mal. 3:6; Jam. 1:17).

There is but one God (Duet. 6:4; Isa. 45:21; Gal. 3:20; I Tim. 2:5; Jam. 2:19). He has many titles but one name: Jesus Christ (John 14:14; Acts 4:1210:43; Phil.2:9-10).

God is merciful and gracious (Ps. 103:8), but He is also a God of justice and judgement for those who reject Him (Deut. 32:41; Rom. 11:22). He is goodness (Ex. 34:6; Ps. 18:3586:15145:8) and truth (Duet. 32:4; John 17:17). He is faithful, unfailing (Duet. 7:9; Ps. 36:5119:90), and holy (Lev. 11:4519:2). It is because of His mercies we are not destroyed; He is our hope and salvation:

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.... The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.... For the LORD will not cast off for ever: But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
